It’s very early Monday morning, nobody except me and Mom is awake, (actually just Mom now, I’m taking a nap on Vanjas kitchen couch) The weekend has been so eventful and wonderful, and so many pictures that I doubt I can tell it all in one day. I probably mix it all up even though it’s nothing wrong with MY memory, Mom doesn’t always follow.................and ...........well you know.

Friday evening we moved Adrienne to a quieter spot away from the festival across the river, to make sure we could get some sleep. In the morning Mom changed the propane tank...........(she’s getting pretty good at this stuff, although it took a phone call to an old friend for advice

Than we parked Adrienne by Moms old church and went for a bike ride along the river to a craft fair, that was absolutely awesome. Mom and Lotta started that remembering stuff again..............

These old houses were well known for partying when they were puppies................

They were build in the beginning of the 1600 and are located close to the church.   They were used for people who lived too far from the church to make the trip in one day, and back in the old days if you lived within 10 km. you HAD to be in church every Sunday, or if you lived within 20 km every other Sunday, if not you had to pay a fine. Several times there has been fires and many houses destroyed but the Swedes are resilient people and kept rebuilding. There’s no electricity or water and owners of today aren’t allowed to add any modern facilities..............

Oh if these walls could speak I thought..............................thank God they don’t said Mom............seems like I never will get the opportunity to pick up on any of the juicy stuff, that I could use as blackmail in exchange of treats..........

Here's a cute little Morris .................I thought Morris was a cat ?

The crafts presented was fantastic, so many beautiful handmade things. It made it real difficult to resist shopping. Lotta bought a gorgeous felted hat a very talented lady named Rigvor had made...........sure suited her we thought.

another lady made trolls and mosquitoes, a big green eyed one is now hanging in Adrienne to scare the buzzing little blood suckers away

we met a lady that was dressed in traditional costume from this province, very nice we thought

I ran into one of my favorite people here........

Here's a young lady spinning yarn, and she was very good at it, sure impressed Mom...

These hand-woven rag rugs was so pretty, well made and inexpensive and Mom thought they would be real pretty in the kitchen at home, but thought of the weight of carrying them back to the US, so she didn’t buy, but it was very close.

This spider shawl was cute, but way to warm for Florida

these bird houses was amazing, and Mom liked the stork, but didn't buy one ? I don’t know what’s up with her ?? she didn’t shop anything ?.....................oh I forgot, she blught cinnamon buns.........

Dad loves princess cake, but this one is crocheted and therefor hard to digest, but on the other hand it’ll last forever

we peeked in to a house where a very sweet lady was preparing for “fika” ( coffee and cake, remember the important Swedish word ?)

There was a lot of  music playing, but I wasn’t too excited about it even though it wasn’t too loud, not like at the town feast.
Two men are playing a very complicated instrument called “nyckelharpa” loosely translated to key harp. It’s used to play traditional folk music, and the earliest instrument  found year 1526. Moms Dad built one, but never learned how to play it.

There was also a lot of accordian music.............again not my favorite, but Mom and Lotta liked it.

I have a lot more to tell, but breakfast is on, so I'll continue later.............
Wet kisses
