Sorry about the delay in my updating, but the excuse is that we have been staying at a place without power, and that means no PC, no blog. This morning we left Moms puppy town and we are heading south again.
At the moment we are staying at a campsite called Snibben, close to the Höga Kusten bridge, same one as we drove on going North..
Now back to some events earlier this week.
One day Mom and Lotta was invited for dinner at her friends house................the house where my favorite person lives. I’ve been here before, and they have been to my house in Florida. It was great seeing them again and to run loose on their well groomed huge property.

I was patiently waiting for dinner to be served, and hoping my buddy would share some scraps, but to my horror the stench of their food.......................it was rotten fish...........stunk so bad I lost my appetite........can you believe they ate fermented fish ??  They ate outside in a tent, to be protected from mosquitos ............that's what they said.......................personally I think it would have been a fly infestation from that stink

They all ate with a very good appetite, and polite as I am I sat at the table, but refused any leftovers this time.
Following day Mom me and Vanja went sight seeing and ended up at a boatmuseum.
There was a nice cafe by the river, and they served huge shrimp sandwiches , and I got to taste shrimp for the first time in my life. They were delicious.

They were so good, I couldn't get enough, so I sat and steered down a couple I didn't know, until they couldn't resist me and gave me some shrimps.

We also went to a candy factory, and Mom bought a couple of bags, one with almond flavor ad another with coffee flavor. This factory has been arond almost 100 years. Mom used to visit here with her dad when she was a puppy............I didnt get to taste anything from here, and weren't allowed inside either...............so I say candy schmandy................who cares

at the old town there was demonstrations on how they made bread in the old days............werent allowed inside there either..............so bread schmead...........who cares

in another house they we got to see how they lived in the old days, and a man sold cheese that looked like a cement block. According to Mom it was very good.

during all this inside excursion I had to wait outside tied to a bench................it's not easy being me sometimes.

Other times I was left in the car .............

Mom really likes the gardener in her puppy town, so many gorgeous flowers everywhere...

This little deer has always been Moms favorite, maybe because he has always been there...........at least almost always, once he got stolen, some crook cut her legs...............maybe the crook thought he'll run off on his own ...............he often get dressed in all different outfits..........I guess he's like a town mascot....

as we were walking around town, I all of a sudden picked up the scent of a favorite person................I couldn't believe my nose, there he was working, so I quickly ran to give him some loving licking............

There's still lot's of stuff to tell, but now I''m ready for the Sand man, but first my evening walk and drill........
Talk to you all soon,
Until than , good lickings

It’s very early Monday morning, nobody except me and Mom is awake, (actually just Mom now, I’m taking a nap on Vanjas kitchen couch) The weekend has been so eventful and wonderful, and so many pictures that I doubt I can tell it all in one day. I probably mix it all up even though it’s nothing wrong with MY memory, Mom doesn’t always follow.................and ...........well you know.

Friday evening we moved Adrienne to a quieter spot away from the festival across the river, to make sure we could get some sleep. In the morning Mom changed the propane tank...........(she’s getting pretty good at this stuff, although it took a phone call to an old friend for advice

Than we parked Adrienne by Moms old church and went for a bike ride along the river to a craft fair, that was absolutely awesome. Mom and Lotta started that remembering stuff again..............

These old houses were well known for partying when they were puppies................

They were build in the beginning of the 1600 and are located close to the church.   They were used for people who lived too far from the church to make the trip in one day, and back in the old days if you lived within 10 km. you HAD to be in church every Sunday, or if you lived within 20 km every other Sunday, if not you had to pay a fine. Several times there has been fires and many houses destroyed but the Swedes are resilient people and kept rebuilding. There’s no electricity or water and owners of today aren’t allowed to add any modern facilities..............

Oh if these walls could speak I thought..............................thank God they don’t said Mom............seems like I never will get the opportunity to pick up on any of the juicy stuff, that I could use as blackmail in exchange of treats..........

Here's a cute little Morris .................I thought Morris was a cat ?

The crafts presented was fantastic, so many beautiful handmade things. It made it real difficult to resist shopping. Lotta bought a gorgeous felted hat a very talented lady named Rigvor had made...........sure suited her we thought.

another lady made trolls and mosquitoes, a big green eyed one is now hanging in Adrienne to scare the buzzing little blood suckers away

we met a lady that was dressed in traditional costume from this province, very nice we thought

I ran into one of my favorite people here........

Here's a young lady spinning yarn, and she was very good at it, sure impressed Mom...

These hand-woven rag rugs was so pretty, well made and inexpensive and Mom thought they would be real pretty in the kitchen at home, but thought of the weight of carrying them back to the US, so she didn’t buy, but it was very close.

This spider shawl was cute, but way to warm for Florida

these bird houses was amazing, and Mom liked the stork, but didn't buy one ? I don’t know what’s up with her ?? she didn’t shop anything ?.....................oh I forgot, she blught cinnamon buns.........

Dad loves princess cake, but this one is crocheted and therefor hard to digest, but on the other hand it’ll last forever

we peeked in to a house where a very sweet lady was preparing for “fika” ( coffee and cake, remember the important Swedish word ?)

There was a lot of  music playing, but I wasn’t too excited about it even though it wasn’t too loud, not like at the town feast.
Two men are playing a very complicated instrument called “nyckelharpa” loosely translated to key harp. It’s used to play traditional folk music, and the earliest instrument  found year 1526. Moms Dad built one, but never learned how to play it.

There was also a lot of accordian music.............again not my favorite, but Mom and Lotta liked it.

I have a lot more to tell, but breakfast is on, so I'll continue later.............
Wet kisses

It’s Friday evening, and Mom is sitting on the floor charging the PC at a school, and hoping everything will work better this time.
We have now been in Mom’s and Lotta’s puppy town (Skellefteå ) two days, and since there’s a big festival with lots of very loud Rock n roll music, there haven’t been much time to relax.
Last night the music didn’t stop until 2 AM and we’re parked on the river just across from the festivities.
Tonight they are talking about moving and sleep by the church.
It’s a beautiful location and we hate to leave it but....................another 2 night with very little sleep, and I have a feeling Mom could get dangerous.

I’m getting ahead of the story.................on the drive up North Mom started to hallucinate about the cinnamon buns she was going to eat at the bear. We got there, and it was closed ? Mom has ALWAYS stopped at the Bear, so she was quite disappointed

I really would like one of these for myself..................it sure would make Buddy, Penny, Bodie, Pepper, Scooter. and lots of my other pals at home real jealous..........

We passed a really high bridge that reminded MOm of some bridges in New York. It was a foggy day so the normally gorgeous views was spoiled.............

Yesterday we did a little sight seeing at the old school. I was listening very closley to the “remember when stories” but still nothing juicy enough worth repeating, but I could tell both Mom and Lotta really enjoyed this visit at the school grounds. We were inside too, but someone told us no dogs allowed ...........and the explanation was allergic kids............BS I think

In the evening an old friend of mine stopped by, THAT was awesome I thought, but after the visit he took Mom and everybody with him and left me home alone.

I made a friend in the morning, but he also left later...................

This is the church my Mom got confirmed, and priest gave har some vine and a cookie ...............pretty church.......................................

It's time to move on I think, so I'll write more later.

wet kisses to all

Another gorgeous day in the North, sun rise at 2 am and down at 11.30 pm, which means the day is almost 23 hours long, and makes it harder to go to sleep, not for me of course, but a little for Mom
We are now visiting with a friend of Lotta’s and last night we walked the grounds of an old mental hospital, which is now schools and a bunch of other stuff. There was a really strange art exhibit, that I didn’t think all that much about, but it was a great walk in the woods.

WOW, this is the biggest poop I've ever seen, I sure would like to see the size of the dude that dropped this one.............not to talk about the size of poop bag you'll need to pick it up.

At home we have a dryer, we don't hang the close in the trees to dry ???

And the bathtubs should go to the dump if you don't need them anymore ...........right ?

Here you can put your butt on the back of an eye ............

These tree huggers was pretty cool, at least itäs not that difficult to understand the artist.

A naked man on the roof ?

A stiff kid looking into the basement window

This little mirror house ws pretty cool to run in and out of............

here's a guy waiting for the bus, which I assume is late because he looked very unhappy

A dude made of letters ....................

Like I said, my interest of the art wasn't all that big, as a matter of fact, here is what I thought it was good for....................and Mom didn't notice, or I would have been punished................maybe

after this we went into town, and walked and walked, defintley not as exciting as the woods...........
Mom didn't recognize much from her puppy years, so much has changed, but the old train station was the same.

This is Moms idea of art _???................guess she got inspired ????

Finally we gort to sit for a minute and feel like saints. ....................I didn't need a gloria, to let everyone know I'm a saint.................that's just obvious

This town is fampous for all it's birch trees, and they're everywhere  planted in straight rows like soilders

As always Mom can't refuse to point heer camera and shoot all gorgeous flowers she sees

Later today we're supposed to reach the final destination of Mom's and Lotta's puppy town.
I'm looking forward to stay at the same place for awhile, and reconnect with some friends that visited me at MY house.

Have a nice day all
and wet kisses

Day 3 of this adventure and we are getting closer to the destination of Mom and Lottas puppy town.
Both of them have traveled this route thousands times, and they keep saying this and that changed. New places popped up ? New roads they never seen and so on...............personally I think they’re having memory losses, but I’m a polite dog and stay in the back of Adrienne pretending I hear nothing.............. napping.

This is the first mosquito buying the farm

There’s a lot of wild flowers growing by the road, and I listen to a lot of ooohing and aahing from the front seat.

This is the beginning of a new bridge in Sundsvall, and it’s going to be huge

We stopped at the big Y which is the letter of the province we are in now. We’re “wild camping” tonight, so I sure hope the police don’t show up.................that would be so embarrassing

This is the old bridge on old E4 both my people used to travel...........and we walked a bit on the old road.

Like I mentioned before, Mom never grow up, but why the dickens does she need to drag me into her childish games

I met some human puppies to play with and I showed them how to make a rasberry

Finally, once again Moms personal chef made an delicious supper...........

Batteries in the computer is almost gone, so the last picture is of a doghouse on the grounds, but noway, nohow am I sleeping there.

wet kisses to you all
Good night

Another gorgeous day, woke up to a blue sky with small white cotton clouds. Lotta is considering another dip in the ocean. Mom says it’s way to cold and will not under any circumstances consider such an exercise.
I spent the morning reading Lottas book called “a certain justice”and I thought it was going to about why we don’t have the same rights as humans .............not so at all

After breakfast we headed North, and we’re driving through century old ironworks country. We stopped at one of the biggest called Forsmark, were we explored the grounds of many old buildings. Everything was kept so pristine it was hard to imagine it was as old as it was.

This was the barons house, Af Ugglas, and I don’t think we were supposed to park here, but Mom pretends she’s a tourist and don’t understand anything. (Actually, she was pretending we lived here, she can be so childish) ..................Well, there was nobody at home anyway

the grounds was so gorgeous we almost wished it was evening and time to sleep, we could have stayed, and allowed Neptune to watch over us, but we continued north on small roads in a slow pace.

gorgeous well preserevd millstone

we finally crossed the river that divides North from the South. It’s called Dalälven, and lucky for you guys you weren't here having  to cover your ears to protect them from bursting. There was a roar of nostalgic acknowledgement from my people. Guess it was like a homecoming for them ................

Lotta has become Moms personal chef and last night they had bbq chorizos almond potatoes, and a Lotta invented a sauce with mustard and a bunch of other stuff. All this and a salad hit the spot, and than a very early bedtime.........

Lotta is waiting for Mom for a morning swim so I’m outta here to watch.
wet kisses.
